We make an excellent world and save children.

Bihar Vikash Parishad began in 1991 as a small group of women and men in Darbhanga determined to better the lives of their neighbours. Three decades on, that same spirit drives everything we do — food, health and shelter for those who need it most.

• Food. No family should go to sleep hungry in the villages we serve.
• Health. Regular camps, awareness and care close to home.
• Shelter & dignity. A hand up for the most vulnerable households.

Our necessity & mission

Meeting the basic needs of every person.

Every person has a set of basic needs — food, clothing, a home, education and health awareness. Bihar Vikash Parishad is a community of women and men working towards these, especially for the weaker sections of society.

Our priority is to support the poorest — through education, income generation, de-addiction, vocational training, rural development, healthcare, environment and cultural work — to raise the standard of living for women, SC/ST/OBC and other economically weaker communities in rural and backward areas.

Our progress

Good mental health starts in childhood.

We measure success by the children who enjoy growing up, do better at school, and build a positive sense of who they are.
